SUMMARY:A Night for Civil Defense سهرة دعم للدفاع المدني
DESCRIPTION:https://leb247.com/events/a-night-for-civil-defense-1123\n\nBook The Space / Take A Look\n\nSince 2022\, a Beirut-based volunteer initiative has raised over USD 150\,000 through grassroots crowdfunding (via FundaHope) to support Lebanon’s Civil Defence — the country’s principal first-responder network\, which operates with under-resourced equipment amid Lebanon’s compounding economic\, infrastructural\, and security crises. Building on this track record\, we are seeking donor support to fund a new ambulance.\n\nLebanon’s Civil Defence relies on both donor and fundraising efforts to sustain itself as a directorate. The compounding effects of the 2019 financial collapse\, the August 2020 Beirut port explosion\, and recurrent wildfire and search-and-rescue emergencies have left first responders under-equipped relative to the scale of risk they are expected to cover. At the same time\, Lebanese civil society has demonstrated it can mobilize significant grassroots resources and sustain multi-year fundraising relationships — this is another event where we hope to shed light on their efforts and proceeds will go toward purchasing an ambulance.\n\nWissam Kamal Mayssa Jallad Farah Kaddour Cosette Chedid Julia Sabra Sam Ghazal Karl Mattar Michel Maouad Surfboard Surfboard Jaafar Touffar Yaba & Moussa Gstrings Hadi\n\nلجمع التبرعات لدعم فريق الإنقاذ والإسعاف في لبنان\n\nالمشاركون: وسام كمال، ميشال ونويل كسرواني، فرح قدّور، ميساء جلاد، فراس عنداري.\n\nستخصص عائدات الفعالية لشراء سيارة إسعاف.\n\nمع وسام كمال ميساء جلّاد فرح قدْور كوزيت شديد جوليا صبرا سام غزال كارل مطر
